ININ Games, together with development studio Studio Siesta, has officially announced that Trouble Witches Final Episode 01: Daughters of Amalgam will be arriving on Nintendo Switch in late summer.
This announcement marks a significant moment for fans of shoot 'em up games, as the franchise continues its evolution with a full-fledged release outside of Japan.
Previously, the Nintendo Switch version made its debut in Japan in 2023, but players worldwide can now look forward to both digital and physical editions on Nintendo's popular platform.
Trouble Witches Final Episode 01: Daughters of Amalgam traces its roots back to 2007, created by Studio Siesta—the same developer behind the respected Cotton Reboot series.
Over the years, the game has undergone substantial development, enhancements, and visual upgrades, culminating in what is now regarded as the most complete and polished installment to date.
Bringing together charming characters, intense bullet-hell action, and unique gameplay systems, this title stands out within the 'Cute ‘Em Up' subgenre.
A spokesperson from ININ Games emphasized that this latest release reflects over a decade of passion and iterative design, ensuring both series newcomers and long-standing fans will find plenty of enjoyment.
The Nintendo Switch edition features sharp hand-drawn 2D character art, reimagined 3D backgrounds, and a variety of engaging game modes—totaling eight, to offer players ample replay value.
Notably, the game arrives bundled with all previously released downloadable content, with the exception of Cotton, who remains available separately.
Key features of Trouble Witches Final Episode 01: Daughters of Amalgam include a roster of 12 distinctive witches, each with specific abilities and magical companions, fostering deep personalized play styles.
The signature Magic Circle system lets players convert enemy bullets into gold coins, which can then be traded at the in-game Pumpkin Shop for powerful Magic Cards—tools that can clear screens and protect characters in the midst of challenging danmaku battles.
For collectors and dedicated fans, ININ Games has also announced a special physical edition, which is set to include an exclusive art book and a complete soundtrack.
This limited edition will be available solely through the ININ online store, with pre-orders starting immediately.
Trouble Witches Final Episode 01: Daughters of Amalgam is poised to become a highlight among niche shoot 'em up titles on Nintendo Switch, exemplifying Studio Siesta’s ongoing dedication to genre innovation and accessibility.
