The Wandering Village Physical Edition Announced for Nintendo Switch by Stray Fawn Studio and Serenity Forge

Stray Fawn Studio, the independent Swiss developer renowned for unique simulation experiences, has officially partnered with Serenity Forge to bring a physical release of their acclaimed city-builder, The Wandering Village, to the Nintendo Switch.

The announcement marks an exciting milestone for fans eager to expand their physical Switch library and enjoy this post-apocalyptic strategy title in both digital and tangible formats. The upcoming physical release will be available in two distinct versions: a standard edition and a feature-packed collector’s edition.

The collector's edition is designed for dedicated fans and collectors, containing a soundtrack download card, a full-color sticker sheet, a thematic 5-inch plant pot, an exclusive wooden pin set, an art book, a rubber keychain, and a set of collectible postcards.

Meanwhile, the standard edition offers a more streamlined package, including the soundtrack download card and the sticker sheet. Originally released for digital platforms, The Wandering Village invites players to lead a community of survivors on the back of a colossal, wandering creature known as Onbu.

The game’s narrative unfolds in a world overrun by toxic plants that threaten life with their spreading spores.

Players must construct and manage a functioning village atop Onbu, tactfully handling resource management, production chains, and spatial planning to adapt to the ever-changing environment. A core aspect of the gameplay centers on forging a symbiotic relationship with Onbu.
