Nintendo has officially announced the leading cast members and key production details for its highly anticipated live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda.
The upcoming film aims to bring the beloved Nintendo franchise to life on the big screen, offering fans a new way to experience the timeless tale of Hyrule, Link, and Princess Zelda.
Bo Bragason will portray Princess Zelda, while Benjamin Evan Ainsworth has been chosen to take on the role of Link.
The casting was confirmed by Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto, the visionary creator behind the original game series.

Nintendo has also revealed the global release date for The Legend of Zelda live-action movie: the film is slated to debut in theaters worldwide on May 7, 2027.

Financial backing for the movie comes from both Nintendo and Sony Pictures Entertainment, with Nintendo providing more than 50% of the funding.
