Splatoon 3’s community is abuzz once again as Nintendo’s vibrant multiplayer shooter concluded its seasonal SpringFest Splatfest this April on Nintendo Switch.
Held from April 12, 2025 (BST), the latest event challenged players with the theme “When do you get things done?” and pitted three teams—Team Morning, Team Noon, and Team Night—against each other in a competition for turf and bragging rights.
Team Night seized the spotlight, decisively earning 520 points and claiming the championship.
Team Morning finished in second place with 255 points, while Team Noon closed out the standings with 95 points.
Following the competition, players who participated are encouraged to claim their Sea Snails, a valuable in-game reward tradable for gear upgrades and customization.
Splatoon 3 Splatfests have become a cornerstone of the game’s post-launch support, giving fans regular incentives to return to Inkopolis Plaza and celebrate community events.
While Splatoon 3’s regular updates officially concluded in 2024, Nintendo continues its commitment to the game by hosting new Splatfest themes on a seasonal schedule.
The anticipation now turns to the upcoming 'Summer Nights 2025' event, promising fresh competition and potentially new or returning themes later this year.
The SpringFest competition launched globally, with regional start times including 1am BST in the UK and 6pm PT in North America on April 11, ensuring squid kids from around the world could join the mayhem.
Nintendo complemented the festivities by offering free in-game items via the Nintendo Switch news app, featuring returning fan-favorite gear from Splatoon 2, such as exclusive visors and shoes.
Despite the excitement surrounding new hardware, including ongoing news about Switch 2, Nintendo did not reference Splatoon 3 in its most recent Nintendo Direct presentation.
The company wrapped up the title’s regular update cycle last year, closing out with the celebrated “Grand Festival.” Accordingly, the focus remains on special events and community-driven content in 2025.
Splatoon 3, developed and published by Nintendo exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, launched in September 2022 and quickly became a major hit, lauded for its dynamic Splatfest events, robust online play, and dedicated community support.
With SpringFest now concluded, fans are eager to see what new themes and rewards the next Splatfest season will bring.
Until then, Team Night can bask in the glow of their well-earned victory, while the community looks forward to the continued evolution of Splatfest celebrations on the Nintendo Switch.
