Tales of Eternia Remastered Farah Character Trailer: Bandai Namco Confirms October 15 Release on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

Bandai Namco has released a new character trailer for Tales of Eternia Remastered, focusing on Farah Oersted as the remaster nears its October 15 launch on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

The remaster revisits the classic JRPG setting of Eternia, a world split between Inferia and Celestia, and brings the title to modern Nintendo hardware with several accessibility and quality-of-life improvements.

In the newly published trailer, Bandai Namco frames Farah Oersted as an outwardly cheerful character whose past trauma motivates her to help others.

The studio indicates that Farah's journey will involve confronting those emotional wounds and growing through the party's adventure.

The trailer follows earlier character footage, including a separate Reid Hershel trailer released by Bandai Namco.

Tales of Eternia Remastered preserves core story elements from the original: Reid Hershel and Farah encounter the mysterious Meredy in the village of Rasheans, and their investigation into Meredy's origins uncovers the looming catastrophe known as the Great Fall that threatens both Inferia and Celestia.

The remaster retains the series' signature elemental spirits, the Greater Craymels, which play a key role in the narrative and combat.

Combat and gameplay

The remaster keeps the Aggressive Linear Motion Battle System (A-LMBS), offering varied Artes, continuous combos, and character-specific coordination for action-oriented 2D combat.

Bandai Namco highlights the system's speed and freedom as central to the combat experience.

Quality-of-life and presentation

Bandai Namco has implemented several quality-of-life upgrades in the remaster, including destination markers, an option to disable random enemy encounters, and a high-speed mode for auto battles.

Players can also toggle between updated and original-style graphics and sound effects, allowing fans to choose a modern presentation or a nostalgic audio-visual experience.

Availability and trailers

Tales of Eternia Remastered is scheduled to launch on October 15 for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

Bandai Namco has published character trailers for Farah Oersted and Reid Hershel ahead of release; these trailers are available through the publisher's official channels and on the game's promotional pages.

The remaster will be listed on Nintendo eShop at launch for both platforms.
