Silver Lining Interactive and Nokta Games have confirmed that Supermarket Simulator will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 this fall, arriving both digitally and as a physical game-key card.

The release adapts the retail management simulator that has already reached a large PC audience into Nintendo's next-generation handheld-console hybrid.

Originally developed for PC, Supermarket Simulator has been played by more than 4 million players on that platform, according to the developer.

Silver Lining Interactive has framed the title as an influential entry in the simulator genre, crediting it with helping spur wider interest in realistic business-management experiences.

In the Switch 2 edition, players take on the role of a supermarket manager in first-person, handling core retail tasks such as stocking shelves, setting prices, processing payments at the register, hiring and managing staff, expanding store footprint, and responding to incidents like shoplifting.

The game also includes systems for procuring inventory from online and local markets and fulfilling online customer orders for delivery.

Silver Lining Interactive describes the experience as a detailed retail sandbox that lets players design custom store layouts and manage day-to-day finances.

The studio highlights realistic economic systems where players negotiate prices, order stock, manage profit margins and bank loans, and scale a small neighborhood market into a large retail destination as the business grows.

Key features cited for the Switch 2 release include:

- First-person management and store design, allowing players to layout aisles and displays

- Realistic economics with dynamic pricing, inventory ordering and profit management

- Check-out mechanics that simulate scanning items and handling cash and card transactions

- Growth systems that let players hire employees, acquire new product licenses and expand their physical store

A trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2 port has been released by the developers to showcase gameplay and the interface adapted for the platform.

The title will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop at digital launch and offered physically as a game-key card sold through retail channels.

With a proven PC track record and a planned fall release, Supermarket Simulator represents another example of PC simulation hits crossing over to console platforms.

Developers Silver Lining Interactive and ports partner Nokta Games are positioning the Switch 2 edition to bring the franchise to Nintendo hardware for the first time.
