Nintendo continues to deliver party magic for fans of its iconic franchise with the unveiling of Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV.
Launching on July 24, this upgraded release enhances the beloved Super Mario Party experience for the new Nintendo Switch 2 platform, integrating advanced hardware features and all-new multiplayer possibilities.
Developed by the acclaimed Nintendo party game team, Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV brings a wave of fresh content, building on the game's blockbuster success since its original debut on the Nintendo Switch system.
With the addition of Jamboree TV and exclusive gameplay powered by Nintendo Switch 2’s new capabilities, the title sets a new standard for interactive fun among friends and families worldwide.
A standout feature is the innovative Mario Party Mode, which introduces CameraPlay.
This technology lets players appear directly in the game using a compatible camera, such as the Nintendo Switch 2 camera accessory.
Up to four players can see each other’s faces in real time, capturing every triumphant win or dramatic loss for an even more engaging local or online experience.
This mode also introduces two exciting new rule sets:
- Tag-Team Rules: Players team up in pairs, collecting coins and Stars together.
The unique 'Together Dice' item enables teammates to combine their rolls, maximizing their chances to earn more Stars in strategic, co-op action.
- Frenzy Rules: For those seeking a quicker party, this option fast-tracks the fun by giving each player an initial stash of 50 coins, the Double Dice item, and a Star.
With just five turns to determine a winner—and the ability to challenge opponents instantly—Frenzy Rules ensures fast-paced, high-stakes excitement.
Another marquee addition is "Bowser Live." Players can step onto the digital stage using the Switch 2’s camera for a series of Bowser-hosted minigames and challenges, bringing them face-to-face—in-game—with the infamous King of the Koopas.
For users without a camera, the mode taps into the system’s built-in microphone for minigame participation, keeping everyone involved and tested by Bowser’s notorious surprises.
In "Carnival Coaster," Nintendo utilizes the system’s HD Rumble 2 technology to bring five new thrill rides—Carnival, Volcano, Haunted, Sky-High, and Trial Coaster—to life.
Up to four players work as a team to tackle minigames with immersive haptic feedback and novel mouse controls, creating a fresh, dynamic gameplay experience only possible on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV also introduces robust accessibility with Nintendo Switch 2 GameShare.
With this feature, a single copy of the game can provide limited local multiplayer content to up to three additional players, even if they don’t own the game.
Compatibility with the original Super Mario Party Jamboree for Nintendo Switch further expands the fun, allowing content sharing across the platform family.
Players who already own Super Mario Party Jamboree for Nintendo Switch can upgrade through the new downloadable Upgrade Pack, unlocking exclusive content and enhanced features optimized for Nintendo Switch 2.
Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV launches on July 24 and promises to be a major highlight for the party genre on Nintendo’s next-generation hardware.
With enriched multiplayer, unbeatable camera integration, and innovative HD feedback, Nintendo continues its party game legacy, setting a new benchmark for gameplay and social entertainment.
