SEGA has confirmed that Sonic Frontiers: Definitive Edition is now available on Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide, an announcement made during the publisher’s Sonic Birthday Livestream to mark the franchise’s 35th anniversary.
Developed by Sonic Team, Sonic Frontiers originally launched in November 2022 and the Definitive Edition brings the full package to Nintendo’s next-generation handheld‑home hybrid.
The Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 includes the base Sonic Frontiers game plus The Final Horizon story campaign and multiple post-launch content updates.
SEGA states the release packages Sonic’s Birthday Bash and Sights, Sounds and Speed content updates alongside a digital art book, a mini soundtrack and all previously released items into a single retail and digital offering on the Nintendo eShop.
SEGA also confirmed the Switch 2 version offers selectable Quality and Performance modes.
