Marvel Cosmic Invasion Adds She-Hulk and Rocket Raccoon as Playable Characters for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

Dotemu and Tribute Games have officially expanded the playable roster of their highly anticipated beat ’em up, Marvel Cosmic Invasion, confirming She-Hulk and Rocket Raccoon as new playable characters.

The game is scheduled to launch digitally on the Nintendo eShop for both Nintendo Switch and the next-generation Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide in Winter 2025, bringing a fresh arcade experience inspired by classic Marvel Comics directly to players. Announced via a recent reveal, She-Hulk and Rocket Raccoon join an impressive lineup of Marvel superheroes rendered in striking hand-drawn illustrations reminiscent of the ‘90s era comic book art and character designs.

Other confirmed heroes include Captain America, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Storm, Phyla-Vell, Venom, and Nova.

With the current roster at nine revealed characters, Dotemu and Tribute Games affirmed that Marvel Cosmic Invasion will feature 15 playable superheroes in total, leaving six more fan-favorites yet to be announced. The narrative of Marvel Cosmic Invasion centers on the relentless villain Annihilus, who has initiated an all-out assault across the galaxy.

To stop this deadly Annihilation Wave, iconic Marvel heroes from both Earth and distant worlds must forge an alliance.

Players will brawl through iconic locales such as the streets of New York City and the enigmatic Negative Zone, facing classic enemies and new threats as they attempt to thwart Annihilus’ plans to engulf the universe in chaos. A core gameplay feature allows players to form a team of two superheroes and utilize the innovative Cosmic Swap system, switching between characters mid-fight.

This mechanic enables players to strategically combine unique powers and special attacks for maximum combat effectiveness.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion also provides robust multiplayer options: up to four players can team up in drop-in/drop-out cooperative play, available both locally and online with full crossplay support.

Experimenting with different superhero duos unlocks new power-ups and rewards, deepening replayability and encouraging collaborative play.
