Bandai Namco has continued its support for Shadow Labyrinth, delivering the highly anticipated Version 1.0.4 patch to players on all platforms, including Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
Since its initial release in July, Shadow Labyrinth has captivated audiences with its intricate maze-based gameplay and engaging story.
The latest update underscores Bandai Namco’s dedication to refining the experience for its growing community on the Nintendo ecosystem.
The Version 1.0.4 patch delivers a suite of critical fixes and gameplay adjustments.
According to the official patch notes published on Bandai Namco’s game page, the update targets several persistent issues that affected the flow and stability of Shadow Labyrinth across its extensive environments.
Notable improvements include resolving a bug where the swordsman character failed to appear in the "Red Crystal Room" within the Barren Volcano area, and addressing save slot timing errors that incorrectly continued during sleep mode.
Additionally, the update corrects several exploits and glitches, such as players becoming trapped within walls or encountering soft-locks during specific boss encounters, including the "Orange Bragza: Terrias-Valou" and "Lord of Gluttony" battles.
Among the adjustments, Bandai Namco has modified gameplay elements to enhance accessibility and balance.
For example, the HP Limit Boost perk now remains active even after player death, and the aura requirements for various upgrades—including attack power and ESP limits—have been reduced for lower levels.
The initial number of lives available in MAZE challenges has also been increased, and specific clear time requirements for select G-Hosts MAZEs have been relaxed.
Additionally, merchant item and emergency escape device costs have decreased, making progression more manageable for new and experienced players alike.
The patch further introduces improvements to boss behavior, operational settings in mini-pack mode, and saves jump guide display preferences, all contributing to a more streamlined gameplay experience.
Bandai Namco emphasized in a recent statement that the team remains committed to "carefully listening to player opinions and requests" as they continue to enhance Shadow Labyrinth.
To this end, a player feedback survey is now live and will remain open until September 21, 2025, granting the community an extended opportunity to shape the game’s future updates.
Shadow Labyrinth's steady post-launch development and open channel for player input exemplify Bandai Namco’s ongoing investment in quality and community engagement on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
Players are encouraged to download the latest update and share their thoughts as the adventure in Shadow Labyrinth continues to evolve.
