GameMill Entertainment has officially announced that 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,' a new 3D platforming game developed by Headless Chicken Games, will launch on the Nintendo Switch during the 2024 holiday season.

This festive platformer brings the beloved animated classic to interactive life, giving players the chance to join Rudolph and his friends in a quest to save Christmas across imaginative, wintry worlds. Designed as a family-friendly adventure, 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer' invites players to journey through a vibrant winter wonderland inspired by the iconic holiday tale.

The game features exploration of classic locations such as Christmastown, the Island of Misfit Toys, Bumble’s Cave, and Santa’s Castle.

With a mix of platforming challenges, themed mini-games, and festive collectible hunting, the game aims to capture the spirit of the season for players of all ages. Players can select from a roster of favorite characters, including Rudolph, Clarice, Hermey, and Yukon Cornelius, each offering unique abilities that add depth and variety to gameplay.

In addition, local cooperative multiplayer allows two players to team up, encouraging collaboration as they work together to restore holiday cheer and save Christmas.

The soundtrack features holiday classics such as “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Holly Jolly Christmas,” ensuring that the festive mood remains front and center throughout the adventure. Koehler emphasized Headless Chicken Games’ attention to capturing both the nostalgia and excitement that have made Rudolph a holiday favorite for generations. 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer' is scheduled for both physical and digital release on the Nintendo Switch at a suggested retail price of $39.99 USD.

The game will be available on the Nintendo eShop, with the boxed edition offered at major retailers.
