Team17 and Spellgarden Games have officially launched Ritual of Raven for the Nintendo Switch, introducing players to a new magical farming simulation adventure.
Now available as a digital download on the Nintendo eShop, Ritual of Raven invites Switch players into a richly woven world where magic, community, and storytelling converge in unique and engaging ways.
Set in a land intertwined with mystical traditions, Ritual of Raven stands apart from conventional farming sims by shifting focus from manual labor to magical management.
Instead of tending fields with your own hands, the game allows players to collect and enchant Arcana Constructs, magical helpers that grow and manage an enchanted herb garden.
This inventive approach ensures that your mystical crops reach their full potential, preserving their magical properties throughout each stage of cultivation.
The narrative unfolds after an ambitious magical ritual opens unstable portals between worlds, leading to chaos and causing each participant to lose something they hold dear.
Players find themselves transported through one such portal, landing in a new realm where they meet Sage, a local witch seeking assistance in restoring order and retrieving her lost Familiar, Flufferstoop.
Guided by your own playful Familiar, Raven, you are taken under Sage’s apprentice and tasked with collecting knowledge, gathering rare ingredients, and stabilizing the troubled portals that threaten the village.
A spokesperson for Team17 highlighted the game’s distinct gameplay, stating that Arcana Constructs were designed to protect the mystical qualities of each herb and streamline magical gardening.
By using a specialized deck of enchanted cards, players can command Constructs to plow, sow, water, and ultimately harvest herbs, unlocking all 22 unique Constructs to help their farms thrive.
Ritual of Raven’s strong narrative is further enriched by the ability to build relationships with a vibrant cast of outcast neighbors, each with their own intriguing backstory and tradeable items essential for progression.
Players can also interact with the lunar phases, learning how each moon phase influences their harvest and experimenting with moon-charged crystals at the local shrine.
The village offers creativity and customization as players visit Pistachio’s shop to discover imaginative furniture and decorations, allowing each farm and living space to feel distinct and welcoming.
In addition to farming and relationships, Ritual of Raven offers collectors plenty to do: extract and fuse magical crystals, fill the village library, and use an arcane fishing claw to search portals for artifacts from other worlds.
