D3Publisher and renowned development studio Yuke’s have officially unveiled Full Metal Schoolgirl, their latest high-octane action shooter slated for release on Nintendo Switch 2.
Set to arrive globally via the Nintendo eShop on October 23, 2025, this bold title immerses players in a dystopian vision of Japan gripped by corporate dominance and relentless cyborg labor.
Set in the year 2089, Full Metal Schoolgirl throws players headfirst into an "action-packed adventure with a heavy-duty attitude." The narrative sets the stage within a Japan whose economy is dictated by the all-powerful conglomerate Meternal Jobz.
This corporation has amassed its wealth and power through a zombified cyborg workforce known as the 'Working Dead'— a labor force condemned to non-stop work on behalf of their corporate overlords.
Players assume the role of a fully mechanized schoolgirl protagonist, fully armed and technologically upgraded for battle.
The core objective: ascend Meternal Jobz’s perilous, ever-changing skyscraper—a towering 100-floor structure teeming with undead salarymen, menacing security systems, and, ultimately, a ruthless CEO intent on seeing his nefarious plans succeed.
Describing the project, D3Publisher’s producer Nobuyuki Okajima noted, “Full Metal Schoolgirl centers on themes of rebellion and organized chaos.
It’s designed as an intense, close-quarters combat experience, blending pointed satire of corporate excess with thrilling action, powered by a dedicated livestream audience rallying behind the main character.”
Key features highlighted by the publisher include:
- **Mechanized Revenge**: Stepping into the shoes of the cyborg schoolgirl heroine, players will have access to an array of high-powered weaponry and state-of-the-art mechanical enhancements.
Infiltrate Meternal Jobz and bring down the relentless Working Dead—undead corporate minions tirelessly defending their employer.
- **Dynamic Combat in a Shifting Skyscraper**: The 100-story headquarters challenges players with ever-adapting layouts and hazards.
Each climb introduces new obstacles, thanks to trap-laden security systems and constantly changing environments, pushing combat and strategy to the forefront as players strive to reach the top floor and confront the CEO.
- **Livestream-Powered Progression**: Innovatively integrating content creation into gameplay, Full Metal Schoolgirl allows players to bolster their upgrades by earning donations from virtual livestream viewers.
Defeating enemies grants materials and viewer engagement, creating a unique system where the protagonist’s strength is fueled by a growing digital audience cheering her climb—encouragement that persists even after setbacks.
Full Metal Schoolgirl will be available exclusively as a digital release through the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2.
D3Publisher and Yuke’s aim to capture both the intensity of modern action shooters and the biting satire of late-stage capitalism, promising Nintendo Switch 2 owners a distinctive addition to the upcoming platform’s library this October.
Stay tuned for further updates as the October 23, 2025 release date draws near, and prepare to lead the uprising atop Meternal Jobz’s skyscraper in Full Metal Schoolgirl.
