Developer FuturLab has officially announced the release date for PowerWash Simulator 2, the much-anticipated sequel to its beloved cleaning sim franchise.

PowerWash Simulator 2 is scheduled to launch on October 23, 2025, and will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 as well as other major gaming platforms.

This announcement follows the remarkable success of the original PowerWash Simulator, which gained widespread popularity since its initial release in 2022. PowerWash Simulator 2 invites players back to the delightfully messy world of Muckingham, offering a fresh, sud-soaked campaign that expands upon the unique pressure washing gameplay fans have come to love.

FuturLab, recognized for its innovative approach to relaxing simulation experiences, promises that this sequel will deliver numerous improvements and new features aimed at both veteran cleaners and newcomers alike. A key highlight of PowerWash Simulator 2 is the introduction of split-screen and enhanced online multiplayer modes.

Players can now tackle cleaning jobs solo, team up with a friend in local co-op, or join forces with up to four participants online, all within a unified progression system.

In a recent statement, FuturLab emphasized their commitment to community-driven play, noting that "the sequel will provide more ways to clean together than ever before, letting friends join via local or online play without sacrificing progress." PowerWash Simulator 2 also brings advanced mobility options to the series, allowing users to traverse and clean hard-to-reach areas using abseiling and scissor lifts.

This vertical freedom lets players scale buildings or hover across rooftops with ease, and, as the developers assure, there’s no risk of fall damage—keeping the experience as relaxing as ever. The game expands its job structure with multi-stage cleaning tasks, where new areas unlock mid-mission, adding layers of challenge and extending gameplay sessions.

Players will also have the ability to personalize their base of operations: Restore furniture, decorate the headquarters, and maintain their workspace between jobs. An extensive Career Mode features 38 different assignments, each set in sprawling, creatively designed locations that bring a satisfying blend of oddity and tranquility.

The sequel also introduces an upgraded arsenal, including new nozzles, surface cleaners, and specialty soaps.

Returning fan-favorite feline companions—Ulysses and her kittens—will once again join players on jobs, meowing for attention and interaction.
