The Pokémon Company has announced a limited-time Jirachi event for Pokémon Pokopia, timed to coincide with the recent reveal that a Pokémon Pokopia Switch 2 bundle will launch in Europe this July.
The new in-game celebration centers on Jirachi, the Wish Pokémon, and runs from June 23, 2026, through July 8, 2026 on compatible Nintendo Switch 2 hardware.
Players can befriend Jirachi and earn themed furniture and décor by collecting and upgrading wish notes during the event.
The Pokémon Company explains that the process begins when players speak with Jirachi to receive a recipe for wish notes.
After acquiring wish notes, interacting with other Pokémon and fulfilling their requests will convert standard wish notes into sparkling wish notes.
Sparkling wish notes can then be exchanged at any rebuilt Pokémon Center for starry-sky furniture and décor items inspired by Jirachi.
The publisher also clarified that Jirachi will only visit towns that have at least one rebuilt Pokémon Center, so players must ensure they have a functional Pokémon Center before the event starts.
Additionally, Pokémon Pokopia's Japanese website notes that the event is tied to the console date and time; if a Switch 2's system clock does not fall within the June 23 to July 8 window, the event will not trigger.
This event follows The Pokémon Company and Nintendo's continued support for Pokémon Pokopia as a relaxing life simulation on Nintendo platforms.
Nintendo Life recently reviewed Pokémon Pokopia and awarded the title an 8 out of 10, praising the game as one of the most enticing Pokémon experiences in years and highlighting its charm, creativity, and content that rewards exploration.
For players who have yet to try the game, Nintendo Life and other outlets maintain guides and coverage to help newcomers get started.
The Jirachi event represents a short seasonal celebration aimed at collectors and completionists on Nintendo Switch 2.
With clear start and end dates, and straightforward requirements for participating towns, players can plan to rebuild a Pokémon Center and prepare wish notes ahead of the June 23 launch to maximize rewards during the event window.
