Pokemon Masters EX Adds Perrin and Diamond Clan in Upcoming Event

The Pokémon Company has officially revealed the latest update for their popular mobile title Pokémon Masters EX, confirming the addition of beloved new characters and a fresh in-game event.

Set to launch on September 30, 2025, this special event expands the game's diverse roster by introducing members of the Diamond Clan from Pokémon Legends: Arceus, as well as Perrin, the intrepid photographer featured in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet downloadable content (DLC). Pokémon Masters EX, launched in August 2019 for iOS and Android, has become a centerpiece in the mobile gaming scene, consistently offering content that bridges the gap between generations of Pokémon titles.

Developed by DeNA in collaboration with The Pokémon Company, the game draws from a rich history of Pokémon titles, regularly updating its lineup of Sync Pairs—iconic Trainers and their partner Pokémon from across the franchise.

This new event continues that tradition, bringing characters and elements from both the Hisui region of Pokémon Legends: Arceus and the Paldea region featured in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The event’s highlight is the inclusion of Perrin, a character introduced in the Scarlet and Violet DLC as a Pokémon photographer with a keen eye for adventure and unique Pokémon moments.

Alongside Perrin, several key members of the Diamond Clan, who played a pivotal role in the narrative and world-building of Pokémon Legends: Arceus on Nintendo Switch, will make their debut in Pokémon Masters EX.

This collaboration marks a notable milestone for the game, offering longtime Pokémon fans the opportunity to interact with characters from the series’ recent mainline titles within the mobile platform ecosystem. In an official statement, The Pokémon Company emphasized their commitment to celebrating the franchise's legacy by regularly integrating innovative content and fan-favorite characters.

Their spokesperson explained that this event aims to "bring the vibrant spirit of the Pokémon world to Pokémon Masters EX, ensuring fans experience exciting crossover moments from some of the most critically acclaimed entries in the franchise." Pokémon Masters EX boasts over 50 million downloads worldwide and continues to receive robust support, with new events, Sync Pairs, and narrative content released year-round.

The game's partnership with the Nintendo ecosystem—although exclusive to mobile—reflects the enduring appeal of Nintendo IPs such as Pokémon and highlights ongoing engagement across platforms, including the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo eShop for mainline game releases. The Diamond Clan event featuring Perrin is scheduled to run from September 30, 2025, and promises exclusive rewards, story chapters, and special Sync Pair scouts.
