miHoYo (operating internationally as HoYoverse) has formally announced platform timelines for Petit Planet, its free-to-play cozy life-simulation title.

The studio confirmed Petit Planet will launch first on PC and mobile on December 4, 2026, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version slated to arrive in 2027.

The news closes months of public speculation about the game's console plans.

The developer described Petit Planet as a life-sim in which players assume the role of Planet Tenders and travel the Starsea aboard Oumuamua, a Starsea Spirit.

On a personal planet, each player plants a Luca Seed that grows into a Luca Arbor, dynamically shaping the planet’s landscape, seasons, and ecosystem over time.

Early Neighbors introduced in the game include Planet Coordinator Mobai and Starsea Racer Elsasani.

Players can explore scattered Islets across the Starsea and visit the in-game Galactic Bazaar to play minigames, join auctions, and share creations.

In a direct announcement, miHoYo stated the rollout schedule and detailed accompanying community initiatives.

The company outlined a multi-part pre-launch program: a pre-registration lucky draw hosted on the official website; more than 1,000 clothing and furniture items available to earn through standard gameplay; and a “Besties, Made to Match!” pre-registration incentive where groups of three who pre-register together receive exclusive clothing items.

Additional events will support the launch window.

From November 1, the “Launch a Planet” event invites fans to design planets on the official event site for a chance to win grand prizes.

Petit Planet’s first Seasonal Creation Event will begin alongside the game’s release, awarding cash prizes, in-game rewards, and official merchandise for selected community entries.

Following the special program, the title’s official X account will publish a “Moving Guide” and run a giveaway for a suitcase, gift cards, and a branded luggage tag.

The confirmed dates give PC and mobile players a concrete December 4, 2026 release to anticipate, while Switch 2 owners can expect the port in 2027. miHoYo’s announcement provides the clearest launch roadmap to date and a sequence of community-focused promotions that aim to support player engagement at release and beyond.
