Aggro Crab and Landfall Games have confirmed that Peak, the cooperative mountain-climbing indie, will release on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22.

The announcement follows the game's earlier PC debut last year and brings the full, updated version of Peak to consoles alongside PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on the same date.

Developers said the Switch 2 edition will include every content update released for Peak over the past year and will support full crossplay at launch.

That means players on Switch 2 can play online with friends on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X from day one.

Peak is a four-player cooperative climbing game in which round-faced characters attempt to scale a mysterious mountain and escape a plane-wrecked island.

The game combines proximity voice chat with physics-driven movement, quirky items, multiple biomes and light survival elements such as campfires.

Core features listed by the developers include:

- Up to four-player cooperative climbing

- Proximity-based voice chat

- Four distinct biomes to ascend through

- A variety of climbing items and collectible foods

- Campfires, marshmallows and character customization

- Online co-op and offline single-player modes

- Persistent ghost recordings for replay and social features

A physical edition of Peak has also been confirmed.

While the developers have not provided a precise street date for the retail release, the boxed edition shown at the end of the trailer appears to include an additional "Buddy Code," a one-time pass intended to let a player grant a copy of the game to a friend.

The PlayStation 5 build was highlighted in the trailer alongside the console packaging.

Landfall Games and Aggro Crab are both established indie developers; the studios positioned Peak as a social experience centered on cooperative play and emergent, physics-driven moments.

With the October 22 launch, Peak will join a crowded release calendar but arrives to a strong foundation of updates and cross-platform play already proven on PC.

Peak will be available digitally on the Switch 2 eShop on October 22, with physical editions arriving at a later, unconfirmed date.

Players can expect simultaneous digital launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X the same day, complete with crossplay functionality.
