Bandai Namco Entertainment, in collaboration with developers Terrible Posture Games and Nerd Ninjas, is set to deliver a fresh take on roguelite deckbuilders with the upcoming release of Battle Train on the Nintendo Switch.

Officially launching worldwide via the Nintendo eShop on June 18, 2025, Battle Train promises to fuse strategic deckbuilding with fast-paced, explosive train combat—offering a new experience for Nintendo Switch players and fans of the genre. Battle Train distinguishes itself by blending the meticulous strategy of roguelite deckbuilding games with the adrenaline-fueled action of competitive train battles.

The game’s setting takes place within a vibrant, high-energy game show, where players assume the roles of contestants locked in high-stakes combat against Rival Champions.

By collecting and playing cards, participants lay down tracks, gather resources, protect their own bases, and launch attacks at enemy structures—all while aiming to outmaneuver their opponents. The heart of the gameplay centers on a strategic grid system, where players use their decks to construct tracks connecting directly to the enemy base.

Once connected, an explosive train is dispatched—a literal game-changer aiming to destroy the rival conductor’s base.
