Order of the Sinking Star confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2
Arc Games has announced that Order of the Sinking Star, the next puzzle title from developer Jonathan Blow, will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 later this year.
First revealed at The Game Awards 2025 and previously confirmed for PC, the project continues Blow’s work on narrative-driven puzzle design following Braid and The Witness.
A living puzzle with four converging worlds
Arc Games and Blow describe Order of the Sinking Star as a story-led puzzle game set in a magical realm referred to as a living puzzle.
The game features four distinct worlds that intersect and blend over time, meaning mechanics introduced in one area will interact with and alter puzzles in others.
The experience reportedly includes more than 1,000 puzzles and multiple playable characters, with examples such as a queen, a thief, a warrior, a wizard, and even a talking boat among the cast.

Blow noted that the Switch 2’s portability complements the game’s design, allowing players to tackle puzzles in short sessions or engage in extended play.
Arc Games said the Switch 2 version is intended to match the game’s design goals on a handheld-capable platform.
