OPUS: Prism Peak Nintendo Switch 2 Launch — Sigono on Cross-Gen Ports, Fixes, and Future Plans

Sigono and publisher Shueisha Games recently launched OPUS: Prism Peak worldwide for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The release marks the latest entry in Sigono's narrative-driven OPUS series, which began with OPUS: The Day We Found Earth and continued with titles like OPUS: Echo of Starsong.

As a small, experienced indie studio, Sigono has expanded both its technical capability and ambition while retaining a focus on emotional storytelling and intimate design.

In a recent interview, Sigono producer Brian Lee explained his role as bridging creative vision and a shippable product, overseeing production planning, script coordination, art, music, engineering, and publishing to keep the game's emotional core intact.

He described the teams growth over the past decade, noting that each OPUS entry taught the studio new lessons about marrying gameplay with narrative, building cohesive worlds, and collaborating internationally.

Lee said the studio approached Prism Peak with photography as a thematic mechanic — not merely a tool, but a way of seeing, remembering, and reconnecting.

He explained that Echo of Starsong informed Prism Peaks approach to pacing and emotional focus, and that the team worked to balance exploration, reflection, and narrative momentum so photography moments feel like noticing rather than checklist collecting.

On technical matters, Lee acknowledged the complexity of supporting both Switch generations and PC.

He noted that bringing Prism Peak to consoles required substantial work on optimization, memory management, loading times, and controls, adding that porting to the original Switch was particularly challenging for a small team.

According to Lee, the team has already completed key performance fixes and is awaiting Nintendo certification; additional updates addressing audio stability and load times are being prepared and will be rolled out after thorough testing.

Lee confirmed the PC version has already received an update adding more save slots, with similar improvements planned for the Switch versions.

He also described the localization and triple-language voiceover effort as a major undertaking that helped solidify the games emotional rhythm.

On future plans, Sigono said it remains committed to post-launch support for Prism Peak and is evaluating opportunities for a Switch 2 physical edition while having no official announcement.

The studio also continues to explore mobile as a platform, though no timeline exists for an iOS release.

Separately, Sigono has invested in and will publish Project Salon by Safe Flight Games, a team that won the Grand Narrative Award at IndieCade 2025.

For players on Nintendo platforms, Prism Peak represents Sigono's most visually ambitious project to date, and the studio has prioritized stability and player experience as it issues post-launch patches and platform-specific improvements.
