LEGO Ideas has unveiled the five finalists for its Pokémon Trading Card Game Challenge, selecting fan-made builds that will compete for production as an official LEGO product.
The initiative attracted 756 submissions, and the LEGO Ideas Review Board narrowed the field to five standout 3D interpretations of Pokémon cards.
LEGO Ideas members can vote for their favorite entry through the LEGO Ideas site until June 11, and the community vote will be one factor among others used to determine the Grand Prize winner.
The five finalist builds reinterpret classic Pokémon cards by depicting each creature bursting out of a two-dimensional frame.
The selected entries are:
- Rowlet Razor Leaf by DMWM
- The Mythical Arceus by livetobuild
- Gyarados: Sunset Splash by CreativeDynamicBuilder
- A Mew Soaring High by IsleOh
- Joltik Charges Up! by Chrixeleon
LEGO emphasized that community vote totals will inform the decision but are not the sole determinant in selecting the Grand Prize winner.
Final results, LEGO confirmed, will be published on the LEGO Ideas website no later than February 4, 2027.
The Grand Prize for the winning designer includes a 1% share of total net sales of the finished product, ten complimentary copies of the LEGO Ideas set, and an official LEGO Ideas Fan Designer credit and biography with the set.
Each of the four runners-up will receive five selected LEGO sets as recognition for their designs.
This challenge arrives in the same year LEGO launched its official Pokémon product range, which currently includes the Eevee set priced at $59.99, the Pikachu and Poké Ball set at $199.99, and the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set at $649.99.
The LEGO Pokémon releases build on the long-running popularity of the Pokémon franchise across platforms, including multiple titles available on Nintendo Switch and digital storefronts such as the Nintendo eShop.
Members of the LEGO Ideas community can cast their votes until June 11 to help shape which fan design advances to production.
With a structured voting window and a confirmed publication timeline for results, LEGO Ideas continues to integrate fan creativity into its official product pipeline while maintaining oversight through its Review Board.
For fans tracking LEGO and Pokémon collaborations, the finalists provide a clear view of how community-led design can translate into retail LEGO sets.
The five shortlisted builders now await the community vote and final Review Board decision, with official results due on or before February 4, 2027.
