Description

Mad Mimic has officially confirmed that No Heroes Here 2 will arrive on the Nintendo Switch on July 1, 2025.

The award-winning Brazilian studio delivers the next installment in its popular cooperative tower defense franchise, following the 2018 launch of the original No Heroes Here on the same platform.

After its successful stint in PC Early Access, No Heroes Here 2 is now set for a full-scale digital release exclusively on the Nintendo eShop. No Heroes Here 2 builds on the franchise’s core premise, inviting up to four players to join forces as a group of unlikely defenders protecting their kingdom's castles.

The game introduces enhanced roguelike features, challenging players to strategize, craft ammunition, and coordinate their efforts in high-intensity cooperative rounds.

With an accessible yet deep gameplay loop, participants must work together to reinforce castle defenses, repel waves of invading enemies, and adapt to unpredictable curveballs that each new round presents. According to Mad Mimic, "Teamwork remains at the heart of No Heroes Here 2.

Players must communicate and collaborate to outsmart waves of enemies while dealing with an ever-changing set of challenges." This entry expands upon the original’s formula with an even wider array of characters, locations, and weapons.

New recruits such as the Alchemist and Doctor join returning favorites like the Jester and Princess, making for a diverse cast of non-traditional heroes. Players will be tasked with defending three distinctive kingdoms: the classic medieval Noobland, the icy realms of Trollmeria, and the mushroom-infested towers of Fungaria.

Each kingdom introduces unique mechanics and enemy types, keeping gameplay fresh across 30 castles split between easy, normal, and hard difficulties.

An arsenal featuring cannons, slingshots, and even fire-breathing baby dragons ensures players have creative options when defending against relentless invaders. No Heroes Here 2 will be available for digital purchase exclusively through the Nintendo eShop, with no physical edition currently announced.

This aligns with current marketplace trends, as more indie developers choose the Nintendo Switch as their preferred launch platform thanks to its thriving digital ecosystem and enthusiastic player community. The release of No Heroes Here 2 marks a significant step for Mad Mimic, reflecting both their ongoing commitment to engaging cooperative gameplay and their continued partnership with Nintendo.

For players and fans of the cooperative tower defense genre, this sequel promises a deep, rewarding experience when it arrives on the Nintendo Switch in July 2025.
