Nintendo has confirmed plans to bring the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 to the Indonesian market with an official launch window beginning in December 2026.

The announcement was made during a Nintendo Business conference in Indonesia and identifies the Salim Group as Nintendo’s official distribution partner for the country.

According to Nintendo’s conference statements, the hybrid consoles will be sold in Indonesia starting December 2026.

The company said the rollout will include promotional bundles and a curated set of launch titles to support the consoles’ market entry.

Promotions and bundles

As part of the launch program, Nintendo will include a free copy of Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu with every Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 purchase for a limited promotional period.

The company also plans to sell a limited-quantity Let’s Go Pikachu bundle for the original Nintendo Switch model.

Confirmed launch lineup

Nintendo provided a list of confirmed titles that will be available at the system’s launch in Indonesia.

Confirmed games include:

- Mario Kart World

- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

- Nintendo Switch Sports

- All mainline Switch Pokémon games from Let’s Go through the latest entries listed by Nintendo

Day-one parity for upcoming releases

Nintendo additionally noted that upcoming first-party releases such as Pokémon Winds/Waves and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake are scheduled to release in Indonesia on the same day as their global launches.

That alignment ensures Indonesian players will have access to those titles concurrently with other markets.

What this means for the Indonesian market

Bringing official distribution to Indonesia marks a formal expansion for Nintendo’s hybrid consoles in Southeast Asia, and partnering with Salim Group gives the company a local logistics and retail presence.

The December 2026 window, promotional bundles, and a robust initial game lineup are positioned to drive early traction among Indonesian consumers.
