Nintendo is set to deliver a major expansion to the Flower Kingdom with the upcoming release of Super Mario Bros.
Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park.
Scheduled for launch on March 26, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2, this enhanced edition brings a wealth of new features, multiplayer options, and fresh content for both solo players and groups eager to explore the latest Mario adventure. The new edition, revealed in a recent official trailer, showcases an expanded Flower Kingdom bustling with activity.
Bellabel Park, the headline attraction, introduces two sprawling plazas packed with diverse amusements.
Players can take part in new competitive and cooperative challenges, such as “Fast Cash: Tip Tap’s Coin Spree,” which has contenders scrambling to collect the most gold coins, and “Knock ‘em Back: Bubble Blaster,” a survival-style event focused on outlasting opponents. Multiplayer is at the heart of this upgrade.
Locally, up to four players can tackle seventeen unique attractions within the Local Multiplayer Plaza on the same Nintendo Switch 2 system, thanks to robust GameShare functionality.
This feature allows friends to join with just one copy of the game.
For larger groups, Game Room Plaza supports both online and local wireless play, offering room for up to twelve players—each on their own system—to compete in six additional events.
These enhancements make Super Mario Bros.
Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition a standout in the Mario series for group play. Noteworthy solo and co-op additions include the Toad Brigade Training Camp.
This new mode enables players to sharpen their platforming skills across a variety of challenge courses pulled from Super Mario Bros.
Wonder and the wider Flower Kingdom.
As players progress, even more training opportunities unlock, which can also be tackled cooperatively.
The goal is to climb the Toad Brigade ranks and achieve elite explorer status. To ensure newcomers feel welcome, Nintendo has integrated an improved Assist Mode.
Enabled at any time, this supportive option provides quick recovery from falls and protects from damage, regardless of the character selected—a helpful feature for both beginners and seasoned veterans trying out new strategies. The expanded character roster is equally exciting.
Rosalina makes her debut appearance in the Flower Kingdom, accompanied by her trusty ally, Co-Star Luma.
In multiplayer sessions, Luma operates as an assist character, capable of spinning to defeat enemies and collect coins without taking damage.
Exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2, players can control Luma with new mouse functionality, offering precise support in cooperative play. Of course, challenges abound as the seven Koopalings join the action, scattering across different worlds after looting Bellabel Park’s treasures.
Players will need to track them down and engage in special boss encounters to restore peace to the park. Super Mario Bros.
Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park will be available as a complete release or as an upgrade pack for existing owners of Super Mario Bros.
