The sweepstakes requires a My Nintendo account and Platinum Points to enter and runs from October 15, 2026, through November 3, 2026, ending at 2:00 a.m.
ET.
Winners must take the trip between December 3 and December 7, 2026.
How to enter
To participate, sign in to your My Nintendo account on the My Nintendo website, navigate to the rewards section, and find the “Nintendo NEW YORK My Nintendo Holiday Magic Sweepstakes.” Each account may redeem up to ten entries, with each entry costing ten Platinum Points.
Nintendo states no purchase is necessary to enter; the Platinum Points can be earned through standard My Nintendo activities, such as linking and playing games on Nintendo Switch or completing other My Nintendo tasks.
Prize details
The prize package includes a two-night stay in New York City and what Nintendo describes as a VIP tour of Nintendo New York.
Nintendo will cover airfare on JetBlue, hotel accommodations, and transfers between the airport and hotel.
In its sweepstakes materials, Nintendo notes that all travel and lodging arrangements are included in the prize, meaning winners need only arrive in the city to take part in the planned events.
Holiday promotions and Macy’s Parade
Separately, Nintendo confirmed that its Mario balloon will appear in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this holiday season.
Nintendo also said that items previously exclusive to Nintendo New York and Nintendo New York San Francisco stores will be made available online, allowing customers to purchase select merchandise through Nintendo’s online channels without traveling to the physical stores.
What this means for Nintendo fans
For Nintendo Switch owners and collectors who follow Nintendo’s retail and promotional activities, the sweepstakes is a low-cost way to try for a curated retail experience in New York.
The My Nintendo points requirement ties entry to Nintendo’s ongoing rewards ecosystem, which also interacts with the Nintendo eShop and Nintendo Direct promotions.
The official sweepstakes timeline and prize rules are posted through My Nintendo and should be reviewed closely by participants.
