Originally released on September 25, 2019 for iOS and Android, Mario Kart Tour was developed in collaboration between Nintendo and DeNA as a free‑to‑play mobile title.
The company clarified that the closure will be a full end of service.
Nintendo stated there are no plans to produce an offline or “Complete” build of Mario Kart Tour, drawing a contrast with Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, which received a final offline release when its service concluded.

Background and context
Mario Kart Tour represented Nintendo’s major mobile effort for the series and coexisted alongside flagship console releases such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch, which is distributed through the Nintendo eShop.
As the mobile service winds down, players have until the late‑September cutoff to spend in‑game currency and enjoy Gold Pass perks as described by Nintendo.
