The special in-game event launched on April 5, 2024, and runs until April 8, offering Nintendo Switch Online members the chance to unlock exclusive content inspired by the latest Princess Peach adventure. Tetris 99, developed by Arika and published by Nintendo, is renowned for its competitive battle-royale twist on the legendary puzzle formula.

Since its debut on Nintendo Switch in 2019, the title has maintained a vibrant online community through regular special events, or "Maximus Cups," that allow players to unlock limited-time themes based on contemporary Nintendo releases.
