GungHo Online Entertainment America has confirmed Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet as an exclusive title for Nintendo Switch 2, with a planned digital release on the Nintendo eShop in Spring 2027.
The sequel represents a marked evolution for the franchise, which originally built its reputation as a fast-paced, free-to-play PvP experience.
The first Ninjala released on Nintendo Switch and reached more than 11 million downloads worldwide, establishing a sizable player base ahead of this next chapter.
According to the publisher, Ninjala 2 shifts the series into an open-world action format while retaining the signature Ninja-Gum Action combat.
The new installment will be structured as a two-part narrative, with The Uncharted Planet serving as the first chapter and a second, later chapter to continue the storyline.
GungHo describes the opening scenario at the WNA Academy as the catalyst for the adventure, where a mysterious figure causes the protagonist to break the Forbidden Seal and triggers the Academy's transportation across the stars to a previously unknown planet.
At the same time, the sinister Prime Tetrad of the Xenos Army is unleashed, leaving students stranded and forced to work together to return home.

- Open-world PvE expansion: Players can freely explore nature-rich landscapes and tackle quest-driven challenges in any order while maintaining high-speed Ninja-Gum Action combat.
