The announcements expand Evercade’s licensed retro catalogue, pairing SNK’s Neo Geo library with a selection of Atari 2600-era Activision titles on separate cartridges.
Background
Evercade is a cartridge-based retro handheld and home platform produced by Blaze Entertainment.
The line focuses on officially licensed compilations that aggregate classic arcade and console titles on physical releases.
The newly announced Neo Geo Arcade 4 cartridge continues the Neo Geo series for Evercade, while Activision Collection 3 collects a dozen Atari-era games from Activision’s 2600 catalogue.
Official lineups and details
Blaze confirmed the Neo Geo Arcade 4 compilation will include eight titles: 3 Count Bout, Baseball Stars 2, Blazing Star, Fatal Fury Special, King of the Monsters, Metal Slug 4, Robo Army and King of Fighters 2002.
The company noted that Metal Slug 4 was developed by Mega Enterprise, Noise Factory and Playmore rather than SNK — a reflection of SNK’s corporate changes after 2001.
The Activision Collection 3 cartridge is composed of Atari 2600-era titles including Barnstorming, Bridge, Chopper Command, Dolphin, Dragonfire, Kabobber, Kaboom!, Keystone Kapers, Laser Blast, Pressure Cooker, The Activision Decathlon and Thwocker.
Pricing and release timing
Both collections will retail at £19.99 / €24.99 / $29.99 and are scheduled for release in June 2026.
These prices align with Evercade’s standard pricing for single-cartridge compilations and target collectors and retro enthusiasts who prefer physical releases.
Why it matters
Notable inclusions such as Blazing Star and King of Fighters 2002 reinforce Evercade’s role in curating important Neo Geo arcade and home conversions for a physical audience.
Likewise, the Activision selection gathers Atari 2600 classics that remain historically significant for early home-console gaming.
Platform context
While these releases are specific to the Evercade hardware, retro games and compilations from SNK and Activision also appear across modern platforms, including releases on systems such as Nintendo Switch and digital storefronts like the eShop.
For collectors, the June 2026 Evercade cartridges offer an alternative physical way to own these classic titles.
