N Plus Infinity Times Two announced for Nintendo Switch 2 — Metanet plans 2027 eShop release

Metanet has confirmed that N Plus Infinity Times Two is in development for Nintendo Switch 2, with a worldwide digital release planned on the Nintendo eShop in 2027.

The title expands the long-running N series and aims to combine high-speed, physics-driven platforming with both online and local party play.

The developer frames the project as an experiment focused on refining physics-based, high-speed platforming.

Metanet positions the game as a party-friendly experience that is easy for newcomers to pick up but offers depth for expert players seeking mastery.

Multiple multiplayer configurations are supported, and the studio emphasizes that the game is designed for both online and local matches.

N Plus Infinity Times Two will include five online game modes.

Returning and reworked modes include Trials, which revisits and updates the solo and hardcore formats from previous N games, and Co-op.

Racing has been substantially remixed into a mode called Rocket Murder Time.

Two new competitive modes, One-Up and Team Tag, are also part of the package.

In One-Up players will engage in rapid push-your-luck elimination rounds where collecting the most gold and reaching the exit quickly are essential to avoid elimination.

Team Tag will match pairs against one another, alternating roles as Hunters and Ninjas; teams must coordinate to hunt opponents while Ninjas attempt to evade capture and collect gold to boost their score.

Metanet has outlined a slate of features intended to appeal to fans of precision platforming and community-driven content.

Key elements include handcrafted level design shaped by over 20 years of experience, polished single-player parkour platforming, and a built-in level editor with global sharing that enables near-infinite user-generated content.

The game uses a bespoke vector renderer to deliver a 2D visual style influenced by print graphic design and ships with a curated soundtrack featuring more than 50 artists.

Additional highlights cited by the developer include extensive customization options through so-called Funlockable Styles and multiple SFX sets, robust netcode to support mixed online and local play, and an emphasis on tight game feel for precision running and jumping.

N Plus Infinity Times Two joins the early roster of projects announced for Nintendo Switch 2 and will be distributed digitally on the Nintendo eShop in 2027.

Coverage and analysis will continue as Metanet releases further details and timelines.
