Metroid Ravenous Special Edition Pre-Orders Live on Nintendo Store for Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo has opened pre-orders for the Metroid Ravenous Special Edition through its official Nintendo Store ahead of the franchise’s next-generation release.

Metroid Ravenous is scheduled to arrive at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 28 January 2027, and Nintendo’s online storefront now lists a boxed Special Edition bundle for collectors and early buyers.

The Special Edition is priced at $119.99 and, according to Nintendo’s product listing, includes a retail copy of Metroid Ravenous, a themed SteelBook case, and an exclusive Samus (Metroid Suit) amiibo.

Nintendo has confirmed those contents on the store page, noting that the Samus (Metroid Suit) amiibo is unique to the Special Edition and will not be part of the separately sold amiibo wave.

Nintendo’s announcement also clarifies that two additional amiibo figures — a standard Samus amiibo and a Chozo Statue amiibo — will be sold separately from the Special Edition.

Those figures are listed as standalone retail items on the Nintendo Store, giving fans multiple purchasing options whether they want the full collector’s set or individual figures.

Metroid Ravenous will be available both physically at retail and digitally via the Nintendo eShop on release day, enabling players to buy the standard edition or pre-order the Special Edition directly from Nintendo.

The availability across both physical and digital channels aligns with Nintendo’s recent release strategy for major first-party and flagship titles on the Switch 2 platform.

For collectors, the inclusion of a SteelBook and an exclusive amiibo at $119.99 positions the Special Edition as a mid-range premium offering compared with previous Metroid collector bundles.

Nintendo’s store page provides current pricing, pre-order windows, and shipping details for regions covered by Nintendo’s online storefront.
