The updated release builds on the original retro-styled 2D platformer with RPG elements, and the announcement was paired with an official trailer and a detailed feature list from the development and publishing teams.
In their announcement, the developers confirmed that the Hyperdelicious Edition will launch for Nintendo Switch in Q4 2026 and will be available in both a standard physical edition and a collector’s edition that contains a diorama, postcards, a collector’s manual, and a themed collector’s box.
The teams also noted that the title will remain consistent with the series’ pixel-art aesthetic and platforming-plus-RPG gameplay.
Key additions in Hyperdelicious Edition
- New Dream World: The update adds a post-game Dream World with its own map, four new boss battles, collectible items, three new costumes, and a Zelda-like dungeon sequence described by the developers as a “gameplay breaker.” The Dream World introduces a real-time mechanic that toggles levels between dream and nightmare states, altering tiles, enemies, and music.
- Easy Mode: Players can enable an Easy Mode at any time.
When active, Easy Mode provides double health, prevents instant deaths from pits (instead returning the player to the last secure ledge), and removes orb costs from checkpoints.
- Auto Run: An autorun option can be turned on at any moment so players no longer need to hold a run button to move continuously.
About the game
Mago: Hyperdelicious Edition is described as a handcrafted pixel-art adventure with varied levels, mini-games, and secret locations.
Players use a magic wand to interact with environments, battle bosses, collect secret orbs to unlock items and upgrades, and visit towns such as Musicalia to buy upgrades and meet characters.
The game also features set pieces including teapot prairies, giant tree encounters, ancient ruins on the back of a colossal bird, and sections where players pilot a mecha.

The Hyperdelicious Edition is confirmed for Nintendo Switch with a physical release planned for Q4 2026.
An official trailer accompanied the announcement; further distribution details, including eShop availability and exact street date timing, will be provided by the developers and publishers as they finalize plans.
