Dreamhaven and FuzzyBot have officially released their highly anticipated action RPG Lynked: Banner of the Spark on both Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, making this vibrant rogue-life RPG available to players around the world via the Nintendo eShop.
Set in the far-flung future of the year 30XX, Lynked: Banner of the Spark transports players to a world where nature has been overtaken by a hostile robot force.
Undeterred, players join forces with the Unibots—a community of tenacious robotic allies—to fight back, rebuild, and create a new hope for civilization from the ashes.
Combining elements of roguelite combat and lifestyle simulation, the game is designed to offer both strategic depth and creative freedom.
With its launch on Nintendo Switch and the enhanced Nintendo Switch 2, Lynked: Banner of the Spark delivers platform-specific optimizations tailored to each system.
Notably, the Switch 2 version supports mouse-like controls via the Joy-Con 2 controllers and introduces GameShare through GameChat, which enables up to two friends to seamlessly join the main adventure as Unibot resistance member "Buddy."
FuzzyBot founder and creative director Max Spielberg commented that bringing Lynked to Nintendo Switch allows gamers to experience the world’s expressive characters and cooperative gameplay on the go.
Spielberg emphasized that both Switch versions "enhance the fun while embodying Nintendo’s spirit of interactive and community-focused play, making Lynked a meaningful addition to any Nintendo fan’s collection."
Dreamhaven CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime highlighted the excitement of releasing the game on the powerful Nintendo hardware.
He noted, "As long-time Nintendo fans, we’re thrilled to offer Lynked on both Switch and Switch 2.
The blend of action and town-building mechanics is especially well-suited to the platform, and we look forward to welcoming new communities of players."
Lynked: Banner of the Spark features a diverse set of core mechanics:
- A Rogue-Life RPG Blend: Players engage in roguelite action combat against robot adversaries and powerful bosses, then use collected resources to expand and personalize their home base.
Progression is persistent, encouraging both exploration and community building.
- Co-op and Solo Play: Tackle hack-and-slash missions alone or with up to three other players.
In addition, recruit and upgrade Unibot companions, each offering unique abilities and combo opportunities.
- Weapons and Wyre: Employ the Wyre grapple device alongside a broad arsenal that includes 10 weapon classes with over 80 variations.
The game’s robust upgrade systems and randomized upgrades ensure each run feels unique and engaging.
- Town Building: Work alongside robots and up to five friends to cultivate a lively town.
Activities include fishing, critter collecting, crop harvesting, and crafting, all of which contribute to town development and character enhancement.
- Deep Customization: The character customization system allows for a wide array of styles and accessories, letting players express themselves as they restore society.
Both Lynked: Banner of the Spark and the Switch 2-specific edition are now available for download through the Nintendo eShop, extending Dreamhaven and FuzzyBot's legacy of developing engaging, community-driven games.
With its innovative mix of action, creation, and social play, Lynked offers an experience optimized for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 audiences worldwide.
