Lost in Cult has announced Kill the Past: 25 Years of Grasshopper Manufacture, a comprehensive, retrospective book chronicling the output of Japanese studio Grasshopper Manufacture.
Written by Blake Hester and running to more than 400 pages, the volume is scheduled for release in Q2/Q3 2025.
Pre-orders are open now and will remain available through 18 October 2024.
The book promises deep dives into several of Grasshopper’s best-known projects, including Killer7, No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned and The Silver Case.
Those titles span the studio’s work across multiple generations of hardware — from the GameCube and PlayStation 2 era where Killer7 launched, through the Wii-era debut of No More Heroes, to more recent entries such as No More Heroes 3 on Nintendo Switch.

Lost in Cult will release standard and deluxe editions.
The deluxe edition — produced in limited quantities — includes an embossed black box, a full pack of Grasshopper trading cards (standard editions include a single card), and four separate essay books that each focus on one of the highlighted games.
The book publisher has also confirmed that the first 1,000 deluxe orders will include a bookplate signed by Suda51.
