Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition Launches for Nintendo Switch 2 with 4K Visual Upgrades

Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially announced that Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition will make its highly anticipated debut on Nintendo Switch 2, with a global digital release scheduled for October 10, 2025 via the Nintendo eShop.

This acclaimed puzzle-platformer, originally developed by Tarsier Studios, has been carefully reimagined for the latest Nintendo hardware, with Engine Software leading the technical improvements that promise to make the experience more immersive than ever before. Little Nightmares follows Six, a solitary child navigating the eerie depths of the Maw—a massive and mysterious vessel filled with grotesque adult figures.

As players, you are challenged to guide Six through a perilous world teeming with unsettling adversaries, environmental puzzles, and haunting visuals that have captivated fans since the series’ debut in 2017. The Enhanced Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 delivers a significant leap forward in visual fidelity and gameplay performance.

Engine Software, working closely with Bandai Namco Entertainment, has upgraded the game to support 4K resolution and a smooth 60 frames per second.

The core gameplay remains: players must carefully observe their surroundings, utilizing Six’s small stature and wit to escape dangers, avoid detection by the Maw’s monstrous Residents, and navigate a series of inventive environmental puzzles.

Memorable features include the ability to sneak through tiny child-sized passageways, use distractions to evade relentless foes, and make adrenaline-fueled escapes in life-or-death situations.

Notably, save data from the original Little Nightmares version is not transferable to the Enhanced Edition, a key detail for fans upgrading from previous releases.
