Xenoblade Chronicles 2 — Nintendo Switch 2 Edition has launched for Nintendo Switch 2, and the release includes a number of voice cast updates alongside the base game originally developed by Monolith Soft and published by Nintendo for Nintendo Switch in 2017.

The Switch 2 Edition preserves the core game while adding new voice lines tied to select content, including the introduction of Momo as a new Blade.

Major voice casting changes

The Switch 2 Edition credits several new English-language voice actors for roles that were voiced differently in the original Nintendo Switch release.

The updated cast list reported for the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is as follows:

- Zeke: Feliks Mathur (previously Daniel Barker)

- Dromarch: Sam Douglas (previously William Roberts)

- Battle Narrator: Rich Keeble (previously Stanley Townsend)

- Momo: Sarah Pitard (previously Sherry Lyn and Cristina Pucelli)

According to the new credits, Sam Douglas now voices Dromarch; William Roberts, who had voiced the role in earlier releases, is no longer credited.

Feliks Mathur replaces Daniel Barker as Zeke, and Rich Keeble takes over the Battle Narrator role from Stanley Townsend.

Sarah Pitard is credited as the voice of Momo in the Switch 2 Edition and performs new lines associated with the character's quest content in this version.

What remains unchanged

Monolith Soft and Nintendo have kept the original Nintendo Switch release intact: the Switch 2 Edition adds fresh voice lines for the new release rather than overwriting the earlier performance credits in the original game build.

Players accessing the original Nintendo Switch version should hear the original cast as they did at launch; the Switch 2 Edition contains the updated recordings for its expanded release on Nintendo Switch 2.

Developer and platform context

Monolith Soft, the studio behind the Xenoblade series, developed Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for Nintendo’s platforms.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is the newest platform release for the title and is available through Nintendo’s platforms and storefronts for the new hardware.

As of this publication, Nintendo and Monolith Soft have not issued additional public comments explaining the recast decisions.

The updated cast list is reflected in the Switch 2 Edition credits and accompanying release notes.
