Level-5 Marks 27th Anniversary with New Artwork and Upcoming Nintendo Switch Releases Celebrated Japanese developer Level-5 is honoring its 27th anniversary on October 28, 2024, by unveiling brand new commemorative artwork.

The illustration, shared by company president Akihiro Hino, brings together an array of iconic characters from several of the studio’s beloved franchises—including Professor Layton, Inazuma Eleven, DECAPOLICE, Fantasy Life, and the mysterious Holy Horror Mansion. Despite the absence of Yo-Kai Watch characters in the anniversary artwork, the new image reaffirms Level-5’s ongoing commitment to its legacy of inventive, character-driven titles.

Akihiro Hino, in a statement accompanying the illustration, highlighted the studio’s forward-looking approach, noting, “We have a variety of new projects in development, and we look forward to your continued support in the future.” The announcement comes on the heels of a successful year for Level-5, most notably with the launch of Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time for Nintendo Switch earlier in 2024.

Fans can expect the next major release from the studio, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, to arrive on both Nintendo Switch and the anticipated Switch 2 platform on November 14, 2024.

The newest entry in the soccer RPG series continues Level-5’s tradition of delivering engaging gameplay and memorable characters to a devoted global fanbase. However, Level-5 has announced delays for several of its major projects.

Both Professor Layton and The New World of Steam and the ambitious detective adventure DECAPOLICE are now rescheduled for release in 2026.

These anticipated titles were previously showcased during various Nintendo Direct presentations, building significant anticipation among fans of narrative-rich puzzle and mystery games.

Additionally, the reimagined Inazuma Eleven RE and the enigmatic Holy Horror Mansion are in the pipeline, hinting at a robust schedule for Level-5 in the coming years. Since its founding in 1998, Level-5 has become known for its innovative approach to game development and its involvement with Nintendo platforms, establishing strong franchises such as Inazuma Eleven, Fantasy Life, and Professor Layton.

As the studio celebrates more than a quarter-century of creativity, its continued dedication to engaging stories and unique gameplay experiences signals a bright future for both Level-5 and Nintendo Switch players worldwide.
