Background and release details
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is being developed with Konami's oversight and support from co-developer Evil Empire.
The title will release for Nintendo Switch on 15 October 2026, and a playable demo is currently available on the Nintendo eShop for players who want an early look at the game and its music.
Developers have also confirmed the game will run at a smooth 60 frames per second on Nintendo Switch 2 hardware.
Composer announcement and credentials
Konami announced ASADI — Danny Asadi — as the game's composer, highlighting that the soundtrack includes a new arrangement of the series' iconic Bloody Tears motif.
In its statement, Konami framed ASADI's contribution as a fitting match for Castlevania's musical heritage, saying the composer’s skills reinvigorate the franchise’s established sound.
Evil Empire, which co-developed the title, emphasized its confidence in ASADI's work.
The studio noted it had previously engaged ASADI to score Ubisoft's Rogue Prince of Persia, and described him as the creative partner it trusted to handle Castlevania's sonic identity.
Where to hear the new score
Players can hear portions of ASADI's score now by downloading the Castlevania: Belmont's Curse demo from the Nintendo eShop.
The demo provides direct access to the game’s music and gameplay on current Nintendo hardware; performance details for Nintendo Switch 2 have been confirmed at 60fps by the development team.
What this means for the franchise
Bringing a new composer with prior AAA soundtrack experience signals Konami’s intention to refresh Castlevania’s audio while maintaining ties to the series’ musical traditions.
With the official launch set for 15 October 2026 on Nintendo Switch and a demo available now on the eShop, players and press will be able to evaluate ASADI’s full score on release.
