Description

Sobaka Studio, the acclaimed game developer, has officially announced that their fast-paced action roguelite, Kiborg, will launch on Nintendo Switch on December 9, 2025.

This highly anticipated title, celebrated for its brutal cybernetic combat and intense rogue-lite mechanics, will be available digitally on the Nintendo eShop, joining the platform's ever-growing indie lineup. Kiborg first made waves with its earlier releases on PC and other consoles, where it quickly garnered attention for its relentless gameplay and innovative combat system.

Now, Nintendo Switch owners can experience the adrenaline-pumping action on the go or at home, leveraging the hybrid console’s unique versatility. In Kiborg, players step into the shoes of Morgan Lee, a wrongly convicted individual sentenced to an incredible 1,300 years on a notorious prison planet.

The only path to redemption is through "The Last Ticket," a brutal, televised reality show where inmates must fight their way up a fortress-like tower filled with violent adversaries.

Each time Morgan falls in battle, he is revived, forced to continue his sentence and striving for another chance at freedom.

The game’s challenging loop encourages players to master its deep combat system and pursue powerful upgrades on each attempt. Combat in Kiborg is as visceral as it is strategic.

Players wield a diverse arsenal, from sledgehammers and electrosaws to cyber-enhanced limbs, enabling them to deliver devastating combos or tear through enemies at a distance with firearms like shotguns and plasma revolvers.

As they progress, competitors can enhance Morgan’s abilities with a variety of cybernetic implants and permanent upgrades, ensuring no two runs are exactly alike and offering fresh gameplay with each challenge. Dmitry Kachkov, head of Sobaka Studio, commented on the Switch debut: Following the launch of Kiborg on PC and other consoles earlier this year, the team was excited to bring Morgan’s struggle for freedom to the Nintendo Switch.

Kachkov expressed his anticipation, saying he looks forward to seeing how players tackle the game’s intense combat both at home and while on the move. Kiborg's arrival on Nintendo Switch continues Nintendo’s commitment to diversifying its digital library with standout indie experiences.

The game’s release aligns with the ongoing trend of high-quality indie titles making their mark on the eShop, providing Switch users with a broad spectrum of engaging content. Fans of action roguelites and competitive combat can look forward to the game’s digital release on December 9, 2025.
