Famitsu's latest weekly physical sales chart shows Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition opened strongly on Switch 2, selling 27,604 copies in its debut week (Aug. 24–30), but it did not unseat Rhythm Heaven Groove from the top spot.

The data, collated and published by Japanese trade magazine Famitsu and shared by Nintendo Life, offers a snapshot of new releases and ongoing sellers across consoles.

Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is a console release of FromSoftware's 2022 action RPG, originally published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.

According to Famitsu, the new Switch 2 edition moved 27,604 physical units in its first week on sale but finished second behind Rhythm Heaven Groove, which sold 34,688 units that week and has reached a cumulative total of 945,929 physical copies.

Famitsu's top ten also highlights a crowded release slate: Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 posted entries across multiple formats with 12,691 units on PS5, 8,624 on Switch 2, and 5,590 on Switch in the same week.

Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster made a Switch 2 debut with 6,386 physical sales.

Other continuing sellers include Splatoon Raiders (11,891 weekly units, 638,262 lifetime physical sales) and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream (10,883 weekly units, 1,585,656 lifetime sales).

Minecraft remains a perennial top seller on Switch with 4,468 units that week and a lifetime figure of 4,270,409 physical copies.
