PikPok has confirmed that Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days will launch its full 1.0 release in March 2027 and will be available on Nintendo Switch 2 alongside PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The announcement closes an Early Access chapter that began on Steam in April 2025 and marks the studio's goal to broaden platform availability ahead of the 1.0 milestone.

Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is a zombie shelter survival game in which players lead a group of survivors from refuge to refuge by scavenging, crafting and fighting to stay alive.

PikPok opened Early Access on Steam in April 2025 and has since issued 13 major content updates that expanded gameplay systems, content and stability.

PikPok summarized the Early Access progress in straightforward terms, noting that the studio added new zombie types, new starting and recruitable characters, new Escape Plans, expanded systems and combat, additional survivor missions and relationship dynamics, new weapons and districts, and new settings including difficulty and content controls and save slots.

The developer also said it addressed numerous bugs and delivered significant quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback.

The studio announced that the game will leave Early Access and reach version 1.0 in March 2027.

PikPok also confirmed multiple platform targets for that launch window: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, in addition to PC storefronts and cloud options.

The company will publish the game on the Epic Games Store, support GeForce NOW, and keep the game Steam Deck verified.

PikPok added that development and updates will continue through Early Access until the team completes its roadmap, and that achievements are planned for the final release.

A trailer accompanying the announcement previews the 1.0 and console release; the studio has said it will share a specific release date at a later time.

For Nintendo-focused audiences, Nintendo Direct and the eShop are common places to watch for release announcements and storefront listings when the developer or publisher posts launch details.

Readers tracking the Switch 2 release should expect further scheduling updates from PikPok as the March 2027 window approaches.
