In a notable update for JRPG enthusiasts and Nintendo Switch owners, Eastasiasoft has officially revealed its plans to publish Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 on Nintendo Switch across Asian markets, complete with English language support.
This upcoming launch is particularly significant as it revives the franchise’s presence on the hybrid platform, following recent setbacks in other regions.
This Asian release comes after Idea Factory, the original series developer, canceled its intended rollout of the Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth trilogy for the Nintendo Switch in Western territories.
At the time, Idea Factory cited reasons related to conflicting "Nintendo Guidelines," bringing disappointment to fans who anticipated an English-speaking release through Western channels.
Eastasiasoft's new initiative ensures that players in Asia—and those importing from abroad—will now have access to the beloved remake.
According to Eastasiasoft, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 will be available in both a standard standalone physical edition and a highly collectible limited edition.
The limited edition is set to offer a comprehensive package that includes the base game, a printed manual, a complete soundtrack CD, a themed art book, Joy-Con stickers, a mini case, acrylic standees, and a uniquely numbered certificate, all housed within an exclusive collector’s box.
Only 2,000 units of the limited edition will be produced, adding an extra layer of desirability for serious collectors of Nintendo Switch games.
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 is a fully reimagined version of the landmark first entry in the Neptunia series.
The story unfolds in the vibrant world of Gamindustri, where four rival goddesses—known as CPUs—engage in a high-stakes war for control.
After losing her status and memories, Neptune, the titular protagonist, embarks on an adventure alongside companions Compa, IF, and the sentient tome Histoire to rediscover the world’s secrets and ultimately save Gamindustri.
The game stands out for its satirical take on JRPG traditions, Fourth-wall-breaking humor, robust customization systems, and a dynamic turn-based combat system.
Players will enjoy a roster that allows up to three active battle members, with an additional three serving as support.
Customization options are robust, including the ability to craft unique equipment and modify in-game parameters such as enemy difficulty and dungeon rewards.
Furthermore, the Nintendo Switch release includes all prior downloadable content, offering a comprehensive and feature-rich experience out of the box.
Pre-orders for the physical editions of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 will go live on Thursday, May 1, with further information and purchasing options available via Eastasiasoft’s official channels.
This release marks a significant milestone for both the developer and the franchise on Nintendo Switch, ensuring that fans in Asia can celebrate the return of Neptunia in both standard and exclusive collector’s editions.
