WildSphere has officially announced that Oxide Room 208, their fast-paced body horror action game, will be coming soon to the Nintendo Switch 2.
Designed to push the boundaries of the horror genre, Oxide Room 208 offers a chilling narrative, cutting-edge technology, and immersive gameplay—delivered to Switch audiences via the Nintendo eShop.
Originally developed by WildSphere, a studio known for its innovative horror experiences, Oxide Room 208 thrusts players into a twisted experiment orchestrated by the ruthless Doc.
Eight characters find themselves trapped and forced to participate in the harrowing 'Oxide' experiment, overseen by the mysterious and tormented Eva.
Driven to the edge of sanity by Doc’s relentless research, Eva loses control, unleashing a nightmarish environment teeming with grotesque creatures and constant peril.
The players' only hope is to find and escape through Door 208 before succumbing to the experiment’s horrors.
A spokesperson from WildSphere stated that each of Oxide Room 208’s nine playable characters is intricately designed, with personalities and backstories brought to life through advanced motion capture and facial scanning technologies.
These characters, not just simple avatars, carry distinctive stories, scars, and hidden motivations that add depth to the game's terrifying world.
The game’s environments are meticulously crafted, immersing players in detailed, atmospheric locations—from grim motel corridors to eerie laboratories.
Utilizing the latest advancements in Unreal Engine 5, Oxide Room 208 leverages ray tracing and dynamic lighting to deliver visuals that blur the boundary between fiction and reality.
Players can switch perspectives between first-person and third-person modes, offering a versatile and immersive gameplay experience.
The addition of a photo mode invites fans to capture the game’s most heart-stopping moments from every angle.
Completing the immersive experience, Oxide Room 208 boasts an original soundtrack, including an exclusive vocal performance by legendary rock band Sôber.
Acclaimed music group ANBR music also contributes to the game's atmospheric score, with both Carlos Escobedo (Sôber) and ANBR music appearing as playable characters—Carlos Miller and Samael Tselios, respectively.
WildSphere promises that music and sound design will heighten the atmosphere, keeping players on edge throughout their escape.
Oxide Room 208 will be available as a digital download on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2, with the exact release date to be confirmed.
This new entry builds on the studio’s legacy of innovative horror, combining next-gen visuals, deep narrative elements, and an unforgettable soundtrack.
With Oxide Room 208, WildSphere is set to deliver one of the most technically advanced and atmospheric horror games to hit Nintendo Switch 2, cementing the platform’s reputation for hosting diverse and genre-defining titles.
