The title is scheduled to arrive on February 4, 2027 for Nintendo Switch, PC and other consoles, and Limited Run Games confirmed it will also receive a physical edition through the company.
The project is billed as a modern retro beat ’em up inspired by the classic Masters of the Universe franchise, which began with the original animated series in the 1980s.
The game enables players to control a roster of Eternia’s heroes — including He-Man, Teela, Man-At-Arms and She-Ra — as they battle Skeletor, Evil-Lyn and a wide array of antagonists across a cinematic, hand-animated presentation.
In a formal announcement accompanying a new trailer, Limited Run Games and Bitmap Bureau stated the game will launch on February 4, 2027 on Switch, PC and other consoles, and that a boxed physical release will be distributed by Limited Run Games.
The teams also released gameplay and feature details highlighting the title’s structure and playable content.
According to the developer’s feature list, Dragon Pearl Of Destruction includes more than 13 action-packed levels, each designed around character-specific moves, magic abilities and power-ups.
Players can bring Battle Cat into combat as an allied companion.
The announcement emphasizes an expansive cast of Masters of the Universe characters drawn from the franchise’s iconic designs — names listed by the teams include Trap Jaw, Kobra Khan, Evil-Lyn and Orko among others.
Bitmap Bureau and Limited Run Games released a trailer with the announcement that showcases animated combat, character introductions and level glimpses.
The developer’s materials position the title as a celebration of the series’ visual and action-oriented legacy while delivering a classic side-scrolling brawler experience for modern platforms.
With a confirmed February 2027 launch and a physical edition in tow, He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe: Dragon Pearl Of Destruction is now on the release calendar for fans of retro beat ’em ups and collectors who follow Limited Run Games’ boxed launches.
More details, including exact platform lists and pre-order windows for the physical edition, are expected to follow from the publisher and developer in the coming months.
