Pokémon Center SINGAPORE will reopen at Jewel Changi Airport on July 1, 2026, following a multi-month revamp that temporarily closed the store on April 1. The refreshed retail space — operated by Pokémon Singapore — leans heavily on local culture and heritage for its design, and introduces Solgaleo as the store’s new symbol alongside longtime mascot Pikachu.
Background and context
Since opening in 2019, Pokémon Center SINGAPORE has been positioned as both a retail destination and a community hub for local shoppers and international travellers. Pokémon Singapore announced the grand reopening date in an official press release, saying the updated store completes a major refurbishment intended to strengthen engagement with local customers and global Pokémon fans.
Design highlights and in-store features
The redesigned interior incorporates motifs drawn from Singaporean architecture and culture. Pokémon Singapore described the space as a contextualised retail experience meant to surprise and delight visitors, inviting guests to explore the store and discover new merchandise. Among the revealed set pieces are a food-court–inspired area featuring Pokémon like Munchlax and Flareon, and an ocean-themed event space overseen by Vaporeon — continuing the aquatic element from the store’s first iteration.
Solgaleo, which sports a sunlike mane, now appears on the centre’s official logo and stands at the store façade alongside Pikachu. Pokémon Singapore says this addition reinforces the store’s identity and has been warmly received by fans.
Commemorative merchandise and launch schedule
To mark the reopening, Pokémon Singapore will release 20 commemorative items across two waves. The first wave launches on July 1 with 12 lifestyle items, including original Singapore-inspired artwork and a Kopi Cup & Saucer Set. A second wave arrives on August 7, 2026, featuring Pikachu bag charms with local treats (durian, kopi, pandan cake), Peranakan-inspired pouch linings, graphic T-shirts, and a tote embroidered with Pikachu and Solgaleo.
Admission details for opening week
Admission during opening week (July 1–5, 2026) is managed via advance reservations and same-day queue tickets. The store visit application window (10:00–13:00) has closed; same-day queue tickets are distributed on-site from 8:30AM and available from 1:00PM while stocks last. Pokémon Singapore urges visitors to follow the official Pokémon Center SINGAPORE Instagram for updates.
Franchise note
Pokémon remains a multi-platform franchise with titles on Nintendo Switch and other Nintendo channels; the retail reopening complements broader brand activity overseen by Nintendo/Creatures Inc./GAME FREAK inc. Fans and collectors can expect the Jewel location’s commemorative merchandise to be sought-after mementos of the relaunch.
