Hasbro and Nintendo have announced a multi-year licensing partnership to produce toys and action figures based on The Legend of Zelda franchise, with the program scheduled to begin in 2027.

The collaboration was confirmed ahead of a public preview of three 6-inch scale figures at San Diego Comic-Con, which takes place July 23–26, 2026.

The licensing announcement positions Hasbro — one of the world’s largest toy manufacturers — as an official partner for Nintendo’s long-running adventure series.

According to the companies, the first San Diego Comic-Con showcase will introduce three 6" scale figures; the firms have not provided further specifics about the characters or exact product designs ahead of the convention reveal.

Billy Lagor, president of Toys and Board Games at Hasbro, framed the deal as a combination of strengths from both companies.

In his statement, Lagor said the partnership pairs Nintendo’s storytelling legacy with Hasbro’s experience in action and role-play products, with the goal of delivering toys that encourage fans to play, explore and create their own adventures.

The licensing news arrives amid a wider Zelda media push.

The Legend of Zelda movie is scheduled for release on April 30, 2027, with Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Bo Bragason listed in the cast as Link and Princess Zelda, respectively.

Separately, Nintendo has plans for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Switch 2 later this year, part of the franchise’s continued presence on Nintendo platforms.

For Nintendo fans and collectors, a Hasbro partnership represents a notable expansion of officially licensed merchandise beyond Nintendo’s existing retail outlets, Nintendo Direct promotions and the Nintendo eShop ecosystem.

The San Diego Comic-Con reveal will be the first opportunity for the public to see Hasbro’s initial Zelda figures in person, and retailers and collectors will be watching for distribution details, pricing and whether further product lines will follow the initial 6" scale offerings.

Official details, including images, release timing and retail partners for the Hasbro-produced Zelda toys, are expected to be shared at or after the Comic-Con presentation.

Until then, Nintendo and Hasbro remain the primary sources for confirmed information on the collaboration.
