Natsume has set a firm release date for its next Harvest Moon entry: Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea will launch for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on September 24, 2026.

Pre-orders are available now through Natsume’s official website, with the Switch 2 edition priced at $59.99 and the Nintendo Switch edition offered at $10 less.

Early purchasers will receive a physical pre-order bonus—a wolf plush—bundled with pre-orders from the publisher.

Echoes of Teradea was first announced in March and marks the franchise’s debut on Nintendo’s next-generation hardware, with Natsume positioning the title as the biggest Harvest Moon release from the company to date.

The developer describes the game as an expansive open-world farming adventure that blends traditional farm simulation with exploration, improved visuals, and a host of new systems designed for discovery and traversal.

In journalist-friendly terms, Natsume summarized the game as follows: players will leave the relative calm of Bloomfield Village to confront a spreading mist from the Forest of Echoes, encountering wild beasts, environmental disasters, and a deeper mystery that ties together towns and the land.

Echoes of Teradea expands movement and exploration—allowing jumping, climbing, and the use of animal companions with unique traversal abilities—to reach previously inaccessible regions and uncover hidden secrets.

Key verified features Natsume has outlined include:

- Massive open-world exploration across diverse regions, caves, and remote islands

- An animal companion system where animals provide traversal abilities and help reveal secrets

- Romance and relationship mechanics featuring ten potential partners (five bachelors and five bachelorettes)

- Campsites and a travel system for longer expeditions, plus travelling merchants

- Expanded player movement (jumping, climbing ladders, scaling vines) and environmental puzzles

- Power Statue mini-challenges that award Power Wisp Fruits to boost stamina and unlock abilities

Natsume’s announcement contrasts with the company’s previous Harvest Moon release, Home Sweet Home, which launched on Nintendo Switch in October of the prior year as an enhanced port of a mobile title.

That release received mixed to negative critical responses; for example, Siliconera rated Home Sweet Home 4/10.

With a confirmed September 24, 2026 launch on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 and pre-orders open now, Echoes of Teradea represents Natsume’s major push to expand the Harvest Moon experience on Nintendo’s current and next-gen hardware.
