Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea Announced for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch

Natsume has officially announced the development of Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea, the latest entry in the beloved farming simulation series, for both Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Nintendo Switch.

This new title will be available both physically at retail and digitally via the Nintendo eShop, broadening its accessibility for fans around the world.

A release date for Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea has not yet been specified. Building upon the rich history of the Harvest Moon franchise, which has captivated players for decades, Natsume is set to deliver fresh adventures alongside familiar, tranquil farming gameplay.

According to the press materials, Echoes of Teradea takes players to a land shrouded by the mystical mist of the Forest of Echoes, with Bloomfield Village acting as the starting point of your adventure.

Beyond the village’s safe borders, dangerous wild wolves roam the night, ruled by a legendary guardian wolf, signaling a shift towards a more adventurous narrative.

Players, together with their closest friend, embark on a mission to tame these wolves and unknowingly set out on a far greater journey to save the land of Teradea. Throughout the game, players will have the opportunity to aid the mysterious Guardian Spirits in their quest to rejuvenate Teradea.

The adventure spans a diverse world, from the storm-battered port village of Tidewind to the seismic mysteries in Quarrytop’s mining community, and the once lively, now fading, cultural hub of Maplehill.

These story-driven locales reinforce Harvest Moon’s classic call for community, growth, and restoration while introducing compelling new objectives and locations for exploration. Outside of these story quests, Echoes of Teradea stays true to its roots, inviting players to tend to their farms, cultivate crops, care for livestock, and build a personal life in harmony with nature.

Guided by the Harvest Goddess, gamers will discover innovative ways to grow their communities and help their neighbors, maintaining the series’ hallmark charm of life simulation. Hiro Maekawa, president and CEO of Natsume, emphasized the studio’s excitement about the evolving gameplay and upcoming reveals for the title, stating that fans and newcomers alike will enjoy the special pre-order bonuses, planned editions, and unique features set for Echoes of Teradea.

He encouraged fans to stay tuned for additional updates on the Guardian Spirits, new mechanics, and more surprises in the pipeline. Natsume outlined several major features for Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea, including: - Ten brand new love interests—five bachelors and five bachelorettes, allowing players to form relationships and even marry - New exploration abilities such as jumping to hidden locations, climbing vines and ladders, and discovering resources off the beaten path - An animal companion system that lets pets and mounts accompany players, each with unique exploration capabilities - A truly untamed wilderness populated not only by wolves but also by bears and tigers, where evasion and caution are vital to avoid setbacks - The addition of island exploration, where nautical charts guide players to remote islands with rare creatures and valuable treasures - "Happilia," a unique village development mechanic that lets players contribute to Teradea’s progress through community engagement With Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea, Natsume continues to innovate while staying faithful to the series’ roots, ensuring both long-time fans and newcomers can find new adventures and the familiar warmth of farming life.

The game stands poised to become a highlight of the Nintendo Switch 2 launch lineup and a staple for fans of life simulation games everywhere.
