Cygames has released a playable demo of Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok for Nintendo Switch 2 owners as of today, and the developer has also published a new “The Journey So Far” trailer plus details on how to access Endless Ragnarok’s story and the Conflux mode.
The full expansion, Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok, is scheduled to launch on July 9, 2026.
Demo overview
Cygames confirmed that Nintendo Switch 2 owners can try an early portion of the main story and multiple playable characters in the demo.
The build includes Story Mode, Quest Mode, and a Tutorial Mode that teaches exploration and combat basics.
Quest Mode supports solo and online cooperative play with crossplay matchmaking and offers four different quests; completing three unlocks the fourth, “Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer,” which introduces Summons as a new battle mechanic.
Each demo quest grants rewards that will be redeemable in the full release of Granblue Fantasy: Relink or Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok.
Cygames also noted that demo progress saves automatically but cannot be transferred to the full game, and a Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to use online multiplayer on Nintendo Switch 2.
Changes since the open beta
The demo reflects several changes from the prior open beta: enemy HP and ATK have been reduced for the Aquila Ruby Golem in “Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer,” main-menu character artwork has been updated, Seofon is now playable in the demo, and fixes for co-op matching have been applied.
The famed Star Sword Sovereign (Seofon) unlocks differently in the full game, but the demo allows players to try him out early.
Trailer and new modes
The newly released “The Journey So Far” trailer revisits earlier footage and blends Relink’s original story with Endless Ragnarok’s expanded combat and gameplay elements.
Endless Ragnarok’s story is unlocked by clearing the Relink quest “The Tale of Bahamut’s Rage,” which opens Chaos-difficulty quests and grants access to Summons when the player obtains their first Summon.
The Conflux solo mode
The Conflux is a new solo gameplay mode unlocked via a side quest in Seedhollow that becomes available during Chapter 6 of the main story.
The Conflux includes multiple Cycles: Cycle 1 unlocks by starting the Chapter 6 side quest and awards weapon forging materials; Cycle 2 unlocks by progressing through Hard-difficulty quests and awards sigil upgrade materials; Cycle 3 unlocks via Maniac-difficulty quest progress and awards weapon uncap/awakening materials and rare sigils.
Further Cycles are tied to progress through Endless Ragnarok’s story.
New playable characters
Six new playable characters are introduced with varied unlock requirements: Beatrix and Eustace are obtained by trading Crewmate Cards at the Knicknack Shack; Gallanza and Maglielle are unlocked during Chapter Ø by progressing through Hard-difficulty quests until a unique cutscene grants Crewmate Cards; Fraux and Fediel join the crew through Endless Ragnarok’s story in the full game.
